Turkish Pillow Cover (12x20) TP1135

This is a pillow cover made from a vintage Turkish rug/kilim that was handmade by Anatolian artisans from around the 1950s to 1970s. We take a vintage rug/kilim that cannot be mended and thoroughly recondition them to repurpose some parts into a beautiful pillow cover. Vintage Turkish rugs and kilims are one-of-a-kind, and so are the pillow covers.

  • Materials: The front side is organic wool (from vintage Turkish rug/kilim), while the backside is a high-quality cotton fabric.
  • Other features: Hidden zipper

Important:

  • Pillow cover only – inserts not included. Recommended insert size is 2" bigger (length and width) than the pillow cover.
  • This pillow cover carries the same quality known for a vintage Turkish rug and kilim. As it is made from old wool, the texture for this type of pillow cover might not always be the softest and sometimes has a coarse feel to it depending on the rug/kilim it was derived from.
  • Age-appropriate wear and inherent natural inconsistencies may be present for such vintage handcrafted items giving it a charming unique character.
For non-US deliveries, additional import taxes may apply. Please check with your customs office/website.

Express Shipping

We ship from Turkey to anywhere in the world through UPS, DHL, or FedEx with tracking numbers provided.

  • The shipping fee is $10 for the first pillow cover and an additional $4 for each subsequent pillow cover. As an example, if you ordered three pillow covers, the total shipping fee will be $18.
  • Free shipping is available for orders over $99 OR if you order any of our rugs together with the pillow cover.
  • Order shipments will leave Turkey (order processing time) in 1 to 3 business days, i.e., excluding weekends and Turkish holidays.
  • Shipment will arrive at your doorstep (transit time) in 3 to 7 business days, i.e., excluding weekends.

Note: Except for the USA, international deliveries to most countries may be subject to import tax and customs duties. Buyers are responsible for these fees whenever applicable as they are not included in the price. Kindly check your customs office/website for more information.

Money-Back Guarantee

If for any reason the pillow cover isn't working for your place, you can return it and get your money back. Returns are subject to the following conditions:

  • Returns must be made within 7 days from the date of delivery.
  • The pillow cover must be in the same condition that it was delivered to you. Damaged, altered, or stained items are not eligible for returns.

Important: Return shipping back to Turkey will be the responsibility of the buyer.

Are the pillow covers vintage and used?
The pillow covers are newly-made and unused. What's vintage is the Turkish rug/kilim that was used in making each pillow cover. 

The rugs are sourced directly from local Anatolian artisans (or their direct families) who made the rugs decades ago.
What materials are the pillow covers made from?
As the pillow covers are made from vintage rugs and kilims, the front side is made from sheep wool. The back side, on the other hand, is a high-quality cotton fabric with hidden zipper.
Are the pillow covers clean?
The pillow covers are clean and ready to use.

Although we use vintage rugs and kilims, we have professionally cleaned and thoroughly reconditioned them before making the pillow covers.
How accurate are the colors in the pictures?
The images we display have the most accurate colors possible with most of them taken under ambient lighting condition.

Also, the actual colors you see depend on your monitor and its settings. We cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any color will be completely accurate.
Are the pillow covers made with the use of child labor?
NO. Pillow covers are made only by highly skilled adult artisans, usually Anatolian mothers. From material preparation to actual pillow cover making, no part of the process where children are involved.

Ordering

What payment methods are accepted?
We accept payments primarily through PayPal. With PayPal, you can pay using your PayPal account or your credit and/or debit card issued by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Diners Club.
I already paid the order, what's next?
You will receive an email confirming your order and the pillow cover will be shipped within 1 to 3 business days. Tracking number and URL will be sent to you through email or will be available in your Orders page if you created an account upon ordering.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Pillow cover orders can be cancelled or changed within 3 hours from the time of purchase. If you wish to do so, just kindly contact us.

Where will the pillow cover ship from?
All pillow covers are shipped from Turkey.
What are the shipping costs?
Shipping fee is $10 for the first pillow cover and an additional $4 for each subsequent pillow cover. Free shipping is available for orders over $99 or if you ordered any of our rugs together with the pillow cover.

Except USA, most countries may be subject to import tax and/or customs duties. Buyers are responsible for these fees whenever applicable as they are not included in the price.
When will my pillow cover be shipped?
Pillow covers will be shipped after payment has cleared. Please allow 1 to 3 business days (i.e. excluding weekends and Turkish holidays) lead time for order processing.
How can I track my shipment?
Tracking number and URL is sent to your email after the pillow cover has been shipped.

If you have created an account upon checkout, tracking is also available in your Orders page. Alternatively, you can grab your order number and use it on our Track My Order page.
How long 'till I receive my pillow cover?
It normally takes 3 to 7 business days (i.e. excluding weekends) for a shipment to arrive in your door step. We are not liable for any unexpected delays caused by the shipping courier themselves.
Do you ship to a P.O. box or APO/FPO address?
Sorry, we are unable to ship to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses for the time being.

Returns

Do you accept returns?
Yes. We do accept returns provided you (i) ship the pillow cover back within 7 days after it was delivered, and (ii) send the pillow cover in the same condition that it was delivered to you.
How to initiate returns?
Kindly contact us with your concern and we will get back to you with the return shipping information.
Who pays for the return shipping?
Customers will be responsible for the price of shipping the pillow cover back to Turkey.
How will my payment be refunded?
Refunds will be made through the original payment method used. Kindly check our Return Policy page for more details.
