These Terms and Conditions apply to all online sales between Turk Rugs ('us/we/our') and the Customer ('you/your') in relation to all sales of goods and services.
When placing an order, the agreement of purchase is made when your payment has been successfully transferred.
All prices quoted on this website are inclusive of shipping charges, exclusive of the Value Added Tax (VAT) corresponding to your delivery address, and are accurate at the time of publication. However, we reserve the right to change our prices if deemed necessary in relation to Turkey's rug market changes.
We accept PayPal and all card payments supported by PayPal. No card information is stored on the website as everything is handled and processed securely by PayPal.
We ship from Turkey to any destination at no additional cost to you through FedEx, DHL, or UPS. Our system automatically determines the most cost-efficient shipping method, and delivery should take anywhere between 3 to 7 business days from the date when it left Turkey. This does not include the lead time for order processing which is 1 to 4 business days.
The delivery estimate is not guaranteed and may change due to unforeseen circumstances outside of the reasonable control of Turk Rugs or delay due to any reasonable delivery rescheduling.
Customs fees and import taxes may apply depending on the laws and regulations of the country of your residence. These fees are not included in the payment sent to us, and it is your responsibility to pay these fees to receive your order.
For the US, import taxes are waived while for some other countries, free imports are allowed up to a certain declared value.
We want our customers to be able to buy with confidence and that we are completely committed to customer satisfaction. If you are unhappy with your purchase, you may return it to us within 7 days of receipt for a refund provided that the rug is returned complete and in original condition.
To return an item, you must first contact us so we can send you information about the return shipping address. Please take note that rugs purchased at Turk Rugs need to be sent back to Turkey and that upon successful purchase on our website, you agree that the return shipping fee, whenever necessary, is your sole responsibility.
Refunds will be made through the original payment method used. As we primarily used PayPal for payment processing, refunds will be made through PayPal as well.
We do not incur restocking fees but refunded money will be minus the cost we paid for shipping the rug to your address.
All our vintage rugs may have minor imperfections and age-appropriate wear that doesn't affect their beauty in any way but instead give it a charming unique character. The rugs are also handmade from traditional looms, and for that, some may not appear as truly perfect rectangles or squares.
The specifications and descriptions of the rugs on this website are not intended to be binding and are intended only to give a general description of the rugs. Actual sizes may vary by up to 5 cm from the ones shown in the description, and year of origin (age) is based entirely on the declared information by the rug weaver or the direct families of the rug weaver who owned it. Furthermore, the photos provided reflect the most accurate colors possible, with most of them, if not all, taken under natural daylight. That being said, it might also be the brightest a rug will look unless your space has an ample amount of natural light.
We always ensure that our online inventory is in sync with our physical inventory but sometimes, a rug listed on our website that you happen to purchase may be unavailable because it was either recently purchased locally or recently included in a wholesale deal and that we have not yet updated our system. Unfortunately, because our rugs are all one-of-a-kind, we cannot provide exact replacements, and we can only offer a full refund of your purchase in these situations.
We reserve the right to cancel orders which we deem as dangerous or fraudulent. During rare instances where a bug in our system caused an alteration on the correct pricing (and you bought it at that price) or the rug is actually out of stock with the reason described in the "Stock Availability" section above, we will offer a full refund of your purchase and a possible discount offer.
